Getting a copy of your tax slipsin KD Professional Accounting Services News
If you have not received your tax slips by the date mentioned above or have misplaced a slip for the current year, you will have to ask your employer or the issuer of the slip for a copy.
You can also get a copy on the CRA’s My Account for Individuals service (if you are registered for this service). If you think you have run out of time in obtaining a copy of your tax slip, you can attach a note on your paper return stating the payer’s name and address, the type of income involved and what you are doing to get the slip.
You can also use your pay stubs or statements to estimate the income to report and any related deductions and credits you can claim. Don’t forget to attach a copy of the pay stubs or statements to your paper return and keep the original documents.
If you are filing electronically, ensure you have all your documents in case the CRA asks for them later.
If you have any more questions regarding this matter, please don’t hesitate to contact us at KD! We will be happy to help you out!
